Body of duster is made from Pendleton's Harding Oxford Blanket. Napped Pendleton blankets: 82% Wool, 18% Cotton. Wool Cashmere facings and Silk Rayon peachskin lining. Black Mongolian Fur is a shaggy long hair Mongolian sheep shearling.

One of the most popular designs ever made by Pendelton, crafted of USA-made wool from their Oregon mill. In 1923, President Warren Harding and his wife Florence came west to dedicate a portion of the old Oregon Trail. At the ceremony, local chiefs presented the first lady with a Pendleton shawl inspired by the Chief Joseph blanket.
